Hello fellow knitters,
So happy 2020 is behind us and it’s a new year. And new awesome Knitting Guild presentations are in store for a fantastic 2021. The Ranch is set up for Covid vaccinations so no in-person meetings yet but it’s looking promising for the near future. Keep your fingers crossed.
In the meantime, we have some great programs scheduled:
February 13 meeting starts at 9:00am with the presentation starting at 10:00. This is the last meeting on the second Saturday of the month and we are going all out. We will do a show and share as we did not get to really dive in during the last couple of meetings. Please plan on sharing your current or finished projects. Your personal projects provide a world of inspiration to the rest of the group. I personally have a list of projects that I want to do because I saw it at the guild meetings first.

Then get ready for Lesley Robinson’s presentation on brioche knitting! She will do a demonstration of basic brioche stitches, talk about the technique, and then show off some of her favorite designs! She will also like to stop about every 10-15 minutes to answer any questions, and we can also have a Q&A at the end. We have all tried brioche. Some of us may have mastered it but I can tell you I failed at it. I am looking forward to this presentation from the brioche mastermind Leslie Ann Robinson. Take a look at her website knitgraffiti.com and get ready to master brioche!!
Upcoming events:
March 6th we will have our very own Master Knitter Marian Hooks with a presentation on reverse cables
April 3rd will be Building in color with Jennifer Miller, Part 1 and…
May 1st the presentation continues with Jennifer presenting Working with Hand Painted Yarns.
June 5th Martha Amey from the Guild will be presenting on crochet!! Get ready to get your edge on!!
July meeting would fall on a holiday weekend so we will probably take a break that month and return August 7th with a whole new line up of presentations
Wow we have some exciting programs coming up and I’m sure you don’t want to miss any of them. To all of you that have paid your annual dues, thank you very much. This small annual membership fee allows the Guild to reserve some great talent as well as helping the Guild continue to grow. If you have not yet mailed your dues, please mail $25 to FRKG in care of
